Overview

Austria's integrated financial market authority, established in 2002. Supervises Austrian banks (jointly with the OeNB and, for significant institutions, the ECB), insurers, pension funds, investment firms, payment and e-money institutions, and — under MiCA — crypto-asset service providers.

Mandate

Safeguard financial market stability in Austria, protect consumers, and align Austrian supervision with EU-wide standards.
